We're still alive!

Hello out there!! ;)

I feel like I haven't been able to update with a post in forever!! :( So sorry!

Well, the day the Bianco's left Texas, I got SOOO sick! Coughing and migraine and all sorts of junk! :( I thought it'd eventually go away... but no... I forgot that i am me and that means I must complicate everything. Soooo, I was sick for 3 whole weeks! Finally last Friday I took a sick day and went to the doctor. I got a shot in the office and about 100 (exaggeration) different pills to take at every hour of my day for the next week! So, needless to say, Dr. Tony (yet again) has been my "pill pusher" and getting me better. And even he got a little congested this last week with a stuffy nose and small cough :(

However - amidst it, we got to meet with friends we haven't seen in a while and catch up! Now that we are in the same state again, the Tollers and us try to get together more frequently.... AND the Gerdance's were in town visisting! We had a great dinner and fellowship at Case Torres (my favorite) and it felt like good ole' days!

The weekend is near and we are on the up side! :) Good Friday we both have off and we are spending some much needed hubby/wife time! We are having friends in our apt complex over for Easter dinner and I am sooo excited! I am going to make my first ever Easter Bunny Cake!

Hopefully it will look like this:

I'll post actual pictures next week to see how I did! ;)

Tomorrow is April and we are in the home stretch of completing Tony's 2nd semester!! It feels good to know that we have almost survived our first year of seminary! Can't wait to see what all God has in store for us!!
Miss and love you all! Comment and let us know how we can pray for you! And thank you for your continual prayers and support for us!

Love

Family Visit!

We had our first family visitors this last weekend!!! Tony's mom, dad and sister came down Thursday and stayed through Sunday!! We had SO much fun with them!! It was so nice to hang out with family and be loved on!! Here are some pics from the weekend:

Thursday the Bianco's went and played golf while I was stuck at work:

The Bianco Girls got to do lots of shopping!! I took them to SAMMOONS!! We went to the mall and had so much fun!! I miss my girls days!! Of course we are too serious of shoppers to have stopped for pics;) Except maybe once to goof off:

We went to this great Mexican restaurant in Sun Dance Square Friday night: Mi Cocina!!

For their last night in Texas, we had to take them to BABES!! It is family style serving with fried chicken so good "it'll make you wanna slap yo momma!" Of course we didn't, but it was that good!!

The best part of Babes is they have waitresses that sing and go around the room... AND for your birthday they make you dress and dance like a chicken!! Happy almost 21st Birthday Sis!!!
I love you!!!!

Mid-Term's at SWBTS

Well it seems like I continue to tell you this same story, but I've been busy, and I apologize that I have not been blogging. But school has been great! I have gotten over the "shock" of Seminary and now see it just as school. It's a good and bad feeling but I have gotten more comfortable with my classes and Dr.'s. I have been extra busy this semester with Youth Ministry Lab! YML is a youth organized Youth Leader Conference. It is a really great opportunity and I have been blessed to be a Chair-Holder of the Exhibitors Committee. I've been in charge of the entire exhibit hall and getting exhibitors to join! It has required more time but the reward will be great!

Apple has been a blast lately since the announcement of the iPad! People are really talking it up and I'm excited to see it and play with it. Spring break is next week and that will give me more of a chance to work some extra hours! Which will be a change since school has been very busy the last two weeks!

Diamend and I are also very excited that my family, mom, dad, and sister, will be coming down this weekend to visit! It will be nice to relax and hang out with family. Plus, we are happy to "show-off" Texas to them and eat at some awesome restaurants. We have a good line-up, Grimaldi's Pizza, Babe's Chicken, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, and possibly Rosa's! Gonna be a great time!

Well I hope all is going well with you and if not please comment a prayer request or just a comment to let us know you are reading! Thanks again for all the prayers and gifts! Diamend and I could not be doing what we are doing without God and your prayers!

A Husband's Prayer Warrior

My devotional today reminded me of what an important role I have as Tony's wife! I'm not just called to be his wife, but I am called and commanded to be his prayer warrior as well:

Of all the roles and responsibilities that God has given wives, the position of a prayer warrior or intercessor is perhaps the greatest of all. An intercessor is a person who intervenes or prays for another person. What we accomplish on our knees will ultimately affect the strength of our marriage. There is no other person who is more called or more qualified to pray for your man than you.

In the Bible, God describes the marriage of a man and a woman as a visual example of the spiritual union between Jesus Christ and the church (all Christians). Believers are called "the bride of Christ" (Revelation 19:7). We are walking, talking, earthly examples of the heavenly relationship between God's Son and those who believe on His name. God instructs men, "Love your wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her" (Ephesians 5:25).

There is someone who wants to destroy that living example, and his name is Satan. Jesus said, "The thief (Satan) comes to steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). He desires to destroy the God-ordained and designed institution of marriage. He began with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and continues his destructive tactics even today. Satan is not very creative, but he's very effective, and he uses the same temptations and tactics today that he used in the first marriage on earth. Satan has proclaimed an all out assault on the family and he begins at the top - with the husband and wife.

So many times we fail to see the real enemy in our marital struggles. The writer of Ephesians explains, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). When I am having a conflict with my husband, I need to stop, take a deep breath, and think...who is the real enemy here? There is a spiritual battle raging all around us that we can't even see, but is very real. It is the greater reality. It is a battle that is not to be feared, but one that is to be recognized and fought in the only place where it can be won - in prayer.

Dear Lord, I pray for my husband, from head to toe.

His Head -That he will look to You as Lord of his life. (1 Cor 11:13)
His Mind - That he will have the mind of Christ and think as the Holy Spirit would lead him and not the flesh. (1 Cor 2:16)
His Eyes -That You will keep his eyes from temptation and that he will turn his eyes from sin. (Mat :13, Mark 9:47)
His Ears - That he will hear Your still small voice instructing him. (1 Kings 19:12, Psalm 32:8)
His Mouth - That his words will be pleasing to You. (Proverbs 19:14)
His Neck -That he will humble himself before You and be strong, courageous, and careful to do everything written in Your Word so that he will be prosperous and successful. (James 4:10, Joshua 1:8-9)
His Heart-That he will love and trust You with his whole heart. (Deut 6:5, Proverbs 3:5)
His Arms-That You will be his strength. (Psalm 73:26)
His Hands-That he will enjoy the work of his hands and see it as a gift from You. (Ecclesiastes 3:13, 5:19)
His feet - That You will order his steps and that he will walk in Your truth. (Proverbs 4:25, Psalm 26:3)

Consider asking your husband for some specific ways that you can pray for him today. Look up each of the Scripture references above and make the prayer for your husband specific to his particular needs. Find one friend with whom you can pray for your marriage. Commit to pray for each other's marriage on a regular basis.

Love you!
