Momma visits TX

I have finally uploaded pics from a couple weeks ago when my momma visited!!!

The week they were here, unfortunately, was the same week Tony had his 1 week long class from 8-5 :( So he missed out on some of our time together... But we definitely made up for it during the evenings!!

My mom and her boyfriend, James, flew in Saturday evening. While we were already in Dallas at the airport, we decided to take them to dinner in Dallas! It was funny watching them gawk at all the big buildings! :) They got to come to our church on Sunday and my momma got to hear me sing again :) And since Mon-Tues they were going to be at the apt all alone all day while I worked we went grocery shopping to get them snacks.

Monday and Tuesday I still had to work.... So while I was out those two days, they did our laundry for us, cleaned the house and had dinner ready for us when I came home from work and Tony from class all day! :) Aren't they great!?

We spent the rest of the week shopping and eating and having a great time!!! We even went to their first ever Movie Tavern :)

Friday night we took them to the famous Babes and had them meet a group of our friends.

We took them to Trade Days in McKinney and walked/ate/shopped til our feet wouldn't take us anymore! And that nite we went down to the Fort Worth Stockyards!!

My momma went home on Sunday and I was sad :( But, we had an awesome week together having soo much fun shopping and being together again! I will have a post soon with details and pics of the week! :)

I'm picking up my momma from the airport today!!! So in honor of Mother's Day (and to hold you over til next week because I'll be too busy with my momma this week;) ... Here is a tribute to my two favorite moms! :)

2 Down...and Back to School in 4 days!

Well my second semester at Southwestern is complete. It has been a much different semester than the ones previous. I had some great classes and some not so great classes. But overall, God has taught us some amazing things about who He is and how He loves us. This feeling of a break is short lived however, I have classes on Monday morning at 8 A.M. Since the Masters of Divinity degree is 96 credit hours, to finish in a reasonable time, you have to take classes whenever they are offered. So this summer I will be taking 9 hours of school. My schedule looks like this:

The Christian Home - May 10-14 - 8 A.M. to 5:15 P.M. - Mon-Fri

Baptist Heritage - May 17 -28 - 8 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. - Mon-Fri

Christian Ethics - July 6th - August 5th - 8 A.M. to 12:15 P.M. - Tues. & Thurs.

So as you can see it is gonna be a fun summer. However, I will have the month of June off so I will be able to breath then.

Work at Apple has been great! It was truly a God thing that I was given this job. I enjoy it and all day I get to tell people the reason I "moved my family down here". This opens up a great means of communication with customers and co-workers. Plus, I get to play with and learn about the coolest gadgets around! There is now a total of four people that work at Apple that go to the Seminary. I guess we are the type of people that does good work. ;-)

Diamend's mom is coming down to visit this weekend, but I won't talk about that because she is overflowing with excitement, it would kill her if I took that away.

Thank you all for your prayers! They are definitely felt. Please continue to pray for our finances. I do not have scholarship for summer classes so it's going to be a rough couple of months. Please pray for God's patience. We are so excited about doing what God has called us to do, we are getting impatient in His timing. Also pray for our friends the McDaniel's as they will be moving down here from Iowa so Christopher can start Seminary in the Fall. Let us know how we can pray for you and that you are reading this...we miss all you guys back in Illinois...and Alaska, let us join you in prayer! Once my grades are posted, just like last semester, I will share them with you, not to be boastful, but to stay accountable. They are also your grades too! Through prayer and gifts you are sharing and apart of this experience too!
