Convo-Grayson-s

It's almost impossible to keep up blogging (or anything really) while working, mom-ing, exercising, wife-ing, ministering, quiet-time-ing, reading, or netflixing and all that life entails. Those of you who can do all that and blog — you have super human powers... or you don't sleep... And I really like sleep.

However I've had some really funny, really sweet conversations with Grayson lately that I've shared with friends and they keep telling me to write 'em down before I forget! So this is my attempt to not forget some of these hilarious or sweet moments. I've done a few Grayson-isms posts on here, but with the more conversing we get to do as he get's older, the more I'll be posting about them.

#1. Grayson gets to pick out his own clothes everyday except for church on Sunday's and picture days at school. This particular morning was picture day and I had picked out his shirt for him to wear. He put it on and it was "bothering" him (many shirts and socks and pants "bother" this child)....
G — Mommy the sleeves are bothering my arms! (whining incessantly...)
Me — Grayson it's just for pictures. As soon as you take your pics you can take this shirt off and wear your t-shirt ... You'll be fine.
G — But mo-om!... I have chapel this morning! If my shirt is bothering me then I can't praise the Lord!
Me — Change you shirt. (How can you argue with that!?)

#2. Commute conversation after school...
Me — How was your day?
G — It was fine... When are we moving?
Me — We're not.
G — But I want to move. We need to move to Washington.
Me — Washington? Why do we need to move to Washington?
G — Because Aleigha (school girl) is moving to Washington D.C.! Her mommy got a job there and you need to go get a job there so we can move there to.
Me — Buddy, mommy and daddy have jobs here. We're not going to move.
G — But WHY?
Me — Because God told us to have our jobs here...
G — I don't like Ouston, Tescas (Houston, TX) ... I wanna move to Washington. I'll be so sad if we can't move so I can be with Aleigha. 😞

#3. Most nights at bedtime we lay in bed and talk about all the things...
G (completely random from our what are we eating for lunch conversation previously) Who's going to be my wife? I don't know who I'm going to marry. (quite distraught)Me — I don't know... You got a lot of time to figure that out.
G — But I have to find her! How do you find a wife? Mommy, how did you find your wife?
Me — Well, I am the wife. I'm daddy's wife.
G — Will you be my wife and marry me?
Me — I'm already taken buddy, I'm married daddy.
G — How did daddy find you?
Me — At school. We were friends at school and....
G — Oh! I got it! (with a sly smile and head nod) Ainsley (another school girl!) will be my wife.
Me — .... 😳
